Things to Do at The Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall

Every year, the Dubai Mall welcomes an astounding 80 million visitors. This vast shopping emporium is filled with stores, entertainment, gastronomy experiences, and everything in between. If you’re looking for a hotel that puts you on the doorstep of The Dubai Mall, go no farther than Rove Downtown, a mere 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Tapping into the Plethora of Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment at The Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall is one of the world’s largest. It’s so big that there’s an app to help you plan your visit and a buggy for navigation if you need it. There are endless opportunities for shopping, eating, and having fun, with options for people of all interests and lifestyles. With more than 1,200 retailers across 1 million square metres, there’s no way you’d be able to see it all in a day, so staying close by is perfect as you can frequent it as often as you’d like.

Let’s begin with the obvious: retail therapy! You can visit world-famous department stores like Bloomingdales and Galerias Lafayette, then make your way to the Fashion Avenue sector where the crème de la crème of couture fashion names live. Put it this way: with so many possibilities, you’ll be able to window shop and spend within your budget, whether you’re seeking designer labels or decent price tags.

Did you know that The Dubai Mall is also home to some of the city’s most popular attractions? Visitors can look forward to the Dubai Ice Rink and Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo for worlds of fun. Be sure to set your sights on the Dubai Mall Waterfall, a 24-metre-tall art installation inside the mall featuring fibreglass figures that pay homage to the Emiratis’ historic pearl diving industry.

Hysteria at Dubai Mall is the place for fans of haunted attractions featuring recreations of scenes from classic horror films. Alternatively, the Virtual Reality Park provides fun and engaging virtual reality games and experiences. Parents can shop in peace at the Dubai Mall at the kid-friendly spots like the edutainment centre KidZania and Dubai Dino where you can see a 155 million-year-old-giant dinosaur skeleton.

You will never run out of things to do, see, or experience between all the available activities, shopping, and delicious food. There is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, serving everything from quick nibbles to multicourse meals with flavours from all over the world. Expect world-famous takeouts and celebrity chef restaurants that are sure to have you salivating.

Plus, there is a covered walkway leading to the Dubai Mall Metro Station so you can head from here to pretty much anywhere with ease. The Downtown neighbourhood is a central hub which provides easy access to the rest of the city. The Dubai Fountain, situated right outside, is ready to put on a dancing spectacle every 30 minutes which you can watch from land or by boat. From here, you’ll be on the brink of the famous Burj Khalifa, an absolute must-visit during your stay! This building holds the title as the world’s tallest building, with breathtaking views of the city that you can enjoy from observation decks by day or night.
